In America, the politic was managed by Ronald Reagan from 1967 to 1975. Kissinger who play an important role during 1969 to 1977 in the period of peace in the cold war, found that France was rebel child of  Europe.

On November 9th, 1970, in France, Charles De Gaulle died. Following this event, Georges  Pompidou succeeded him in the 5th republic from 1969 to 1974 as right president “of the right” and after it was Valéry Giscard d’Estaing from 1974 to 1981 on the same political side and François Mitterrand with a left politic from 1981 to 1995 but before he was prime secretaire for 1971  then Jacques Chirac was president from 1995 to 2007 after Mitterrand.                                                                                                        

But globally the american political system did not influence  France’s political system that much in this period. France had its own political side.
